Poetry. WHY? consists of an extended series of questions about the nature of things, and particularly about the singular thing that is a rose. It begins with and revolves around Angelius Silesius's famous line, The rose is without why, it blooms simply because it blooms. WHY? makes a reverse proposition, questioning the thing so that it will bloom.
