Whimsical Verse is a collection of poetry suitable for children aged 5 to 12. The poems and drawings in Whimsical Verse were created with the younger reader in mind. Initially, the book introduces poetry for the earlier years, and grows with the child as the book progresses. Several of the pieces were first published in the NSW Department of Education's School Magazine and in FreeXpresSion magazine. Written with humour, Whimsical Verse is subtly educational, encouraging environmental and self awareness. The light illustrations add to its pleasure.
