On imagine mal combien les débuts furent vertigineux. Beaucoup ont pensé que Martin T:son Engstroem délirait. Monter des pianos à Verbier ? Y transporter des percussions, des contrebasses ? Construire une tente de 1 800 places ? Faire venir un orchestre de 100 musiciens ?

Et pourtant. Pour la vingt-cinquième année consécutive, le Verbier Festival permet des rencontres et des échanges entre les grands maîtres et de jeunes musiciens du monde entier.
