Optic 2000

Le Tour Auto Optic 2000 est l'une des plus grandes et des plus célèbres épreuves routières du monde pour Voitures Historiques de Compétition (VHC). Elle se veut l'évocation fidèle du Tour de France Automobile, qui, de 1899 à 1986, a constitué l'un des plus redoutables bancs d'essai sportifs jamais imaginés. Un pèlerinage au pas de course ! L'édition 2018 reliait Paris, Besançon, Megève, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence et finalement Nice, en visitant de hauts lieux de la course : Dijon-Prenois, le Paul-Ricard ou encore le Col de Turini. Parmi les 240 concurrents, l'édition 2018 faisait la part belle aux marques italiennes disparues : Autobianchi, De Tomaso, Osca, Siata, Moretti, Dino, mais la majorité des concurrents se sont bagarrés sur Austin-Healey, BMW, Cobra-Ford, Ferrari, Ford (GT40, Mustang...), Jaguar, Lotus, Maserati ou Porsche.

The Tour Auto Optic 2000 is one of the greatest and most famous road-going events for Historié Racing Cars. It is the faithful re-creation of the Tour de France Automobile which, from 1899 to 1986, was one of the most testing and toughest sporting events imaginable. It was a kind of pilgrimage, but at racing speeds ! The 2018 staging linked Paris, Besançon, Megève, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Nice and visited some of the great circuits and iconic places like the Dijon-Prenois and Paul-Ricard tracks and the Col du Turini along the way. Among the 240 entrants the 2018 event highlighted vanished Italian makes like Autobianchi, De Tomaso, Osca, Siata, Moretti and Dino, while the majority of entrants did battle in Austin-Healeys, BMWs, Ford-Cobras, Ferraris, Fords (GT40s, Mustangs), Jaguars, Lotuses, Maseratis and Porsches.
