Omschrijving

This is the story of fourteen year old Chris and his two friends, Nick and Donny, who are struggling to find their places in the world. Chris is afraid of everything, particularly a fierce bully and drug trafficker named Spider. He and his friends create their own world inside the bulrushes that grow far out into the lake, where Chris feels safe. When a sloop Chris and his friends are sailing, becomes caught in a tidal current in the Pacific ocean, Chris is the only one who has the foresight and ability to sail it into a safe harbor. When Spider invades his bulrush world, it is Nick who urges him to step up, remember how he overcame the threat of the sea, and put an end to the bullying. Can Chris make this happen?
