Do you believe in the Sleepers? Loving mother Myra Bradshaw does. In fact, she is always weaving tales to her son, Timmy, of mystical adventures in the Elysian field, land of the Sleepers, where children are kept safe at night. After Myra's untimely death, Timmy takes the story to heart, knowing that his mother, ferried across the River Styx by the mythic boatman Charon, will be safe in the land of Elysian, the place where the adult Sleepers tend to the children who have wandered there in their dreams. Shortly thereafter, Timmy and his father move to the Welsh border. There Timmy struggles to put Myra's death behind him. He finds some solace in the friendship of local boy Elliot. Timmy's belief in Elysian, and hope of finding his mother again there, takes them on a journey where they learn the power of faith over adversity, courage over fear, and how strength can come from the darkest of places.
