War is coming. But is it Hunters versus the other Supes, or is it far worse than that?
Everything is going well with us. The new compound is nearly built, I have a mate; he's a Hunter turned into a Shifter, but I'm falling hard for him. Erik is sweet and funny. He's also overbearing in his protectiveness, worse than any Hunter male I've ever known. But I love that the most.
There's weird stuff happening all over the country. Even though we've told all of the compound leaders that we're missing vital information about the other Supes, not everyone told the Hunters under their command.
To make matters worse, the other Supes have declared war on the Hunters. They've been coming after any Hunter they can get their hands on. California seems to be seeing the worst of the destruction, though. They've asked for aid from other compounds across the country, too, because it's so bad.
Then we're sent to California to help a group of Hunters who feel as though they're being sent out for slaughter. The San Diego compound has nearly no Hunters left. Everyone who's left is in danger of dying. Can we save them? Or will we die trying?
