Omschrijving

From the authors of: "The Adventures of JT and Buffy Marie", "Seven Fostering Hope, "Rainbow Park", "Space 2070" --- The founding of Roseberry began in the 1800s as a chance encounter between two twelve-year olds, Rose and Dasan. Her family was part of a religious group of settlers off to spread the gospel while open to the possibility of declaring to be home any inviting spot. Dasan's family was part of a Native American tribe who were the original settlers of the area in which Rose's group arrived. One day, destiny intervened when Rose crossed paths with Dasan and history began. --- The friendship of two children who were inexperienced in the ways of cultural segregation of the times established a lasting friendship. Together, they inspired their respective groups to interact and assist each other with survival skills that the indigenous people perfected over the course of many generations. Eventually, two groups had an unexpected blending of families when one of Rose's relatives fell in love with Dasan's sister. The result was a multi-cultural generation. --- The majesty of Western plains in untouched splendor inspired Rose's family to stay. The town of Roseberry was then founded without consideration to the original settlers' rightful claim to the lands. It became a point of contention between indigenous tribes and white settlers to have a nation of secondary settlers stake a false claim. --- As time passed, self-appointed governments forced upon Dasan's people their idea of what was best for the heritage of native tribes. It resulted in the stripping of tribal cultures that were sacred to a proud race. Forced into confinement, many founding tribes were deprived of their way of life, their property and their cultural identity. Despite the national acrimony, Rose and Dasan remained close. In her finality, Rose insisted that Dasan be credited for the founding of Roseberry.
