About the Authors and Lead Photographer:

Sharon Wood Wortman is a bridge walker, bridge scholar, and bridge storyteller. Ed Wortman, her husband, is a bridge engineer and long-time technical editor. The two, partners-in-bridges since 1993, live in Portland. James Norman, an award-winning photographer, historian, and author of many books, lives in Salem, Oregon.
