The ancient Greek epic poem THE ODYSSEY, traditionally attributed to a poet called "Homer," follows the hero Odysseus (Ulysses) on his long and tumultuous journey home from the Trojan War. The epic is considered one of the most influential works of antiquity. It includes the famous tales of Polyphemus the Cyclops, the witch-goddess Circe, and the nymph Calypso. This edition is a new, highly readable translation by Greek scholar Christian Harrison.
