""The Negro's Place in Nature"" is a paper presented by James Hunt before the London Anthropological Society in 1864. In this book, Hunt attempted to classify the racial differences between the African and European populations. He argued that the African race was inferior to the European race, both physically and intellectually. Hunt used various scientific measurements, including skull size and brain weight, to support his claims. The book was controversial at the time and received criticism from many scholars, including Charles Darwin.
