This Journey in Art enables the reader to review the works of the late Master Japanese Artist Kaji Aso, and partake in the journey as they are able to color and design while learning the Japanese titles of each chapter that it was designed to introduce in the biographical novel The Majestic Crane by author Rochelle O'Neal Thorpe; Rochelle was an Exchange Student from Umass Amherst in 1981 to 1982 to Tunghai University in Taichung, Taiwan. Then she traveled to Japan to visit Exchange Students from Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan.
The book also includes her travels to mainland China as a teacher with her husband, Journalist Richard Francis Thorpe, where the two spend the summer 1982 teaching English in Shuang Ya Shan, a small village 70 miles South of the Russian Board and West of North Korea: Hei Long Jiang province.
This artist coloring book will soothe the soul of anyone interest in Japanese culture and is encouraged to make a donation to Kaji Aso Studio Boston.
