This novel is a work of fiction. I originally wrote it as a novella in 2007 and have since expanded the story into a novel. This novel stemmed from a newspaper article published several years ago which discussed the mutation of the genetics which produce blue eyes—and how in a few generations, blue eyes will no longer exist.

My question after reading the article, was this: What if you were the last blue-eyed woman?
