"I'm not an archaeologist - but I play one on YouTube." Penny came to Athens on her first trip overseas and was enjoying the sights, the food, the history, and that warm Mediterranean sun. That was before a quick stop at a low-rent archaeological dig in Germany went badly awry.
Now Penny is on the run, lost and alone in the middle of Europe without even a phrase-book, dogged by an implacable pursuer and threatened by a phantom killer.
What no one could have expected was that Athena Fox, the globe-trotting adventurer of Penny's show, would take on a life of her own. Her odyssey back to Athens will take her from the depths of the Black Forest to the crowded tents of Oktoberfest, through a chase across the hundred bridges of Venice to a struggle for survival in the waters of the Adriatic.
Penny will need to discover if she, too, can be as clever as a Fox. The pride of a people and a priceless archaeological treasure are at stake. But if there's one lesson you can take from the Classics - it is never underestimate Athena.

Romancing the Stone, one part Indiana Jones, and season liberally with Greek myth. And stick around for the rest of the series; Penny, and her alter-ego, are just getting started.
