So much trouble stalks Rabbit's favorite temple! Just the month before, the priest who took care of the space died unexpectedly. Now, no one can find the deed for the land the temple occupies. When Rabbit witnesses a mysterious stranger stealing a beautiful silver statue, the local magistrate accuses him of the theft!
But are all these events just coincidences? Or is a sinister plan unfolding?
This mystery takes place during the Tang dynasty, in China. It was first published in Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine.
