Omschrijving
The Council of Leaders in Nickada is crumbling apart. Raiders attack the coastal towns and the southern border is restless. Life continues on within the town of Palator as Blazzer moves there to start a new life and continue her education. Except her teacher and new sister aren't mortals. Blazzer hopes to finally find a home and family where she belongs, but instead she becomes embroiled in Nickada's ongoing escalating political conflict.

Blāzzer walked beside Ash towards the Council chambers. Her arm was not in the sling and she wore the shirt Angel had embroidered for her. She felt like her stomach was a bottomless pit and her heart was in her throat. She didn't notice anything as they walked, not even the stone path she stared blankly at. As they neared a building Ash touched her shoulder. She looked up at him and blinked, realizing she had tears in her eyes.
"Wipe the tears away," said Ash gruffly. Blāzzer did so with her embroidered sleeve hem. "Chin up. Shoulders back. You do not fear them. You want control of your future? Then show it no fear." She stood straighter and took a deep breath. "Whatever happens when you're in there, you will always be a member of the Stone family."
