My name is Mary Gilbert and I am the author of 'The Adventures of Victor and Ellie' books.
This is book number 3 in the first series of 12 all about my dog Victor and his best friend Ellie.
Victor and Ellie are clever Terrier dogs who sometimes get up to mischief. They are funny, willful and exasperating all at the same time. I may think that Victor is 'my dog' but really he thinks that I am 'his human'!
Victor and Ellie live in a small seaside town in England. They meet their animal friends every day in the park, on the beach or in the countryside nearby. The books tell all about their journey through life and how they learn to do the right thing, even if they get it wrong sometimes! The dogs grow and learn with help from their friends along the way. Victor and Ellie have known each other since they were 12 weeks old and are like brother and sister. They sometimes disagree but always look after each other.
In the first series of 12 books, we meet many animal characters. All of their adventures are based on true events. There are also 'colouring in pages' at the back of every book so that you can create your own pictures.
