Healing and moving on are the two things first and foremost on Reese Abbot’s mind in the weeks following his injury. He wants to survive living with his parents and their insistence that he pursue a safer career path, figure out how to climb back to the top of the extreme sports ladder once he’s all healed, and get closer to Eve, who he can’t keep his mind off of, while he’s at it.
Lofty goals, but some of them seem to be easier than others as Eve and Reese spend more time together. Things aren’t easy for her either, though, with the threat of her father’s return hanging over her head, and when her brother starts getting in trouble at school for things he can’t help, she turns to Reese for comfort and a listening ear. But it won’t be quiet and easy for long, and whoever wants Reese out of the competition is still out there and perhaps closer than anyone expects.
