Then he attended the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Arizona before being one of the first to join the Peace Corps in South America. He went from there to Japan working with the Women's Olympic Volleyball and Olympic Weight lifting teams. All in all, Carl Miller was directed and shaped by people and situations that led up to the thirty-five years he spent as co-owner of Carl and Sandra's Physical Conditioning Center and the years of his involvement with the City of Santa Fe, the oldest capital city in the United States.
