A Morning in Congaree, in D major, is flowing and expressive, displaying the beauty found in the national park. Light syncopation creates a lilting feel, and a brief chordal section shows strength. Myrtle Beach Boogie is full of excitement and swing rhythms. A boogie bass and bluesy melody include a variety of articulations and syncopation to produce an entertaining piece. A Morning in Congaree and Myrtle Beach Boogie are Federation Festivals 2016-2020 selections.
