Self-love should not be a hard thing to do, so why do we neglect it?
In a world where sacrificing our needs is celebrated, you may have bulldozed your needs to accommodate others - often without hesitation.
Past experiences may have taught you that self-love is 'selfish' or 'entitled.' In your quest to fit in or be loved, you may have neglected your body, your soul and your values, and this is not ok.
If you want to live an authentic life the first step is to respect your own needs and embrace your essence, even if you feel you are not worthy of such love. It is essential to forgive yourself for your past mistakes and forgive the people who have hurt you. The result is a life free of guilt, shame, resentment and anger.
You deserve to live a life you love, just by being you. Include loving people in this version of you and offer them your support and grace in return.
Self-love is a life long journey and for some of us, it starts today.
