Caroline suffers the unimaginable tragedy of losing her family. Through a friend, Caroline finds a job as a nurse in a clinic on the coast of Maine.  When she arrives in the small town of Rockland, she finds that the cottage on the beach will provide her the necessary solitude for her to form a new life alone.  But falling in love with Grayson Edgeworth was not a complication that she could have forseen. Caroline must learn to trust her heart through a journey that will lead her through love, deceit, and passion.
Gray

Grayson Edgeworth is a physician from a wealthy and influential family in Boston.  Gray feels he has lost himself trying to please his overbearing parents and their friends. After a recent break-up with the woman he thought he would marry, a friend of his father who lives in Maine offers him a position in a clinic for the Summer tourists.  In an effort to break out of the life he feels trapped in, he takes the job as Chief of Staff in a small clinic in Maine.  After he meets Caroline, he sets his sights on trying to win her heart and see that he is the man she needs.  Gray follows his heart and falls victim to  the complications that  arise from a jealous woman and from his interfering mother.
