Caroline Jones has written her first children's book called 'Sammy the Forgetful Squirrel.'
Eighteen years ago, Caroline and her husband came to live in a house which has a large garden surrounded by a forest.
The animals who visit the garden daily are deer, squirrels, foxes, owls, badgers, rabbits, and birds of all kinds, even woodpeckers.
"Watching and feeding the beautiful wildlife in our garden is magical and has been my inspiration for authoring a book (with more to follow). We are fortunate to live here and visitors to the area wander into our garden by mistake but end up staying for a chat and a cup of whatever they wish. Life is for sharing and encouraging people to appreciate the beauty around them. We welcome visitors.
The animals have entrusted us to look after them and are confident in visiting our garden daily.
The book has colourful illustrations of the animals as they join Sammy in his search to find the acorns and nuts, he has buried for the chilly winter ahead. He cannot remember where he buried them! The snow begins to fall which makes the task to find them even more difficult. Will they find them?
The animals need the acorns and nuts to fill their tummies before the chilly winter comes. They have a party every year at Sammy's place where all the animals sing and dance. Sammy puts a sign on his door which says 'Welcome to Rumbletums. Nuts are Here. Whether big or small there are nuts for you all.'
This book is about animals showing loyalty, love, and friendship as they all help Sammy to find the acorns and nuts. Will they find them in the snow?
Can you help Sammy by telling him where you think he has buried them? Will you sing and dance at Sammy's party.
Read our book to join Sammy and all his friends in their quest to find the acorns and nuts for the long, frosty winter ahead.
