Three nieces, Louise, Alice, and Emma, are put in charge of their aunt Agatha's house. This might sound mundane, but the illustrations in this book reveal that the three girls are far from conventional. Alice's sneezes are full of flowers, Emma loves to float as she reads, and there are harps in the greenhouse and whales in the garden pond.
