Sudoku puzzles are believed to have originated in France in the late 1800s. The basic premise is deceptively easy. Put the numbers 1 through 9 in each sub-square, but don't have the same number on the same line twice.
Easier said than done!
Solving a sudoku requires logic and working memory. There have been studies that show routine Sudoku playing could improve working memory in older people.
But that doesn't mean they aren't fun to figure out!
Puzzled by Sudoku contains over 1,000 puzzles. They are arranged six puzzles per page, with a breakdown of:
- EASY - 154 puzzles
- MEDIUM - 354 puzzles
- HARD - 354 puzzles
- EXTRA HARD - 150 puzzles
The solutions to all 1012 puzzles are in the back of the book, listed 24 per page.
Each sudoku was created using a 16-point bolded font, so hopefully you will not need to use your "cheaters" too much when working the puzzles. If you're unsure on the layout, please take advantage of the "Look Inside" feature (where available) to confirm that this book is the right size for what you need!
