Pippi Longstocking is a nine year old girl who lives all alone in an old house at the edge of a tiny town in Sweden. Pippi's mother died when she was a tiny baby. For awhile she was raised by her father, a sea captain, who sailed on the great ocean and Pippi accompanied him on his ship. One day he was blown overboard in a storm and disappeared.
Pippi left the ship and went to live in a home called Villa Villlekulla, Mr. Nilsson, a monkey and Horse lived with her in the house. Tommy and Annika were two children that lived next door to Pippi.
