Pax has seen his fair share of trouble. Having spent almost twenty years in the army, seven of those years being deployed in the middle east, it's safe to say he came back with more issues than he started with. If it hadn't been for Coltrane and Nash, he might have blown his head off years earlier. With the help of his psychiatrist and some good meds he was a lot more stable.
Working at AJE hadn't been his ideal job to start with. In fact, at first he hadn't wanted anything to do with the agency. He couldn't stand the thought of being a cop and having to see the broken parts of the world. He'd seen enough of that with his time in the army. Pax often wondered what he would have done with his life it wasn't for AJE. He didn't have family. His only friends were either dead and buried or worked right along side him at AJE.

However, when his youngest sibling, Ryland gets caught selling drugs to humans it threatens to unravel everything. Holland has to find a way to keep his family safe and out of the clutches of children's services. But is that the only thing that will unravel this family?
