Many people have the idea that to really be used of God you have to be exceptionally gifted or extremely talented. Drawing on well over five decades of ministry, Dr. John Caldwell has had plenty of experience to prove that is not the case. For the most part God uses what the world would consider to be ORDINARY PEOPLE to accomplish His work. John draws on his life and ministry experiences, personal convictions, and pastor's heart to underscore that fact. This book is not autobiographical but instead focuses on a wide variety of incidents and experiences the author has had. He also shares some of his deepest convictions. The chapters represent successes and failures, wins and losses. Some are tragic and some are humorous. Hopefully, as you read, you'll experience both laughter and tears. You probably won't agree with everything John writes, but you will be challenged. While at first glance the chapters may appear to be eclectic or disconnected, it has been the author's intent to demonstrate that an ordinary life can be fulfilling and rewarding when it is dedicated to our EXTRAORDINARY GOD! John Caldwell has four earned degrees, including a doctorate in ministry. After several years of crusade evangelism, he became the first pastor of Kingsway Christian Church of Avon, Indiana, where for the next thirty-six years he led the congregation from infancy to a thriving megachurch. He has traveled in over 100 countries, working alongside missionaries in at least two dozen of them. He has served as president of both The North American Christian Convention and The International Conference on Missions. He has written several books. Since retirement he has maintained a busy national and international speaking and writing ministry.
