Northward Hoe is a play written by Thomas Dekker and first performed in 1607. The play is a satirical comedy that takes aim at the social and political issues of the time. It follows the adventures of two young men, Sebastian and William, who decide to leave their hometown of London and travel to the newly established English colony of Virginia in North America. Along the way, they encounter a variety of characters, including a group of Dutch traders, a Spanish ambassador, and a Native American princess. The play is notable for its commentary on English colonialism and for its depiction of the cultural clash between the English and the Native Americans.
