The illustrator used Chesley's original artwork ideas as well as his own in the illustrations. The last two illustrations in her book are of dancewear used in her first dance recital. As the mother of the author I like this book because it allows children to see what they can do too by putting forth the effort to do their best whatever the task, and not take shortcuts or take the easy way out all the time, especially in their reading and writing at school. I hope it will give students the confidence to persevere in their goals/dreams no matter what others do or say. This is also a fun and entertaining book.
