The Museon Arlaten, the museum of Provence, was create in Arles in 1899 by literature Nobel prize-winner Frédéric Mistral (1830-1914). One of the first regional ethnography museums in France, it has undergone a complete renovation, both in terms of architecture and museography.
This book presents the creation of the museum as well as the architecture and the millennial history of the monument. It Is also a guide to the visit of the permanent exhibition, like an invitation to travel.
