When Moses May Murphy left Sinful, Louisiana after graduating high school, she had no plans of returning. But part two of her life- after those awkward high school years- should have been better. Especially in California. Boy, did she get it wrong. Leaving the flaming wreckage of a failed marriage and a failed career (plus that incident which almost sent her to prison), Mo decides to start over in Sinful.

A disastrous case of mistaken identity on the trip home follows Mo all the way to Sinful. She can't seem to shake the bad luck. Like the traffic stop by smoking hot State Trooper, Tony Reese. When it becomes too much for him to handle, he sends her on her way to let the mess be cleared up by Sinful Deputy, Carter LeBlanc.

But "Little Mo" isn't the same woman who left all those years ago and Sinful sure isn't the same quiet little town. Mo needs the help of Ida Belle, Gertie, Fortune, Carter, and Tony to figure out what's happening in Sinful. And she learns that going home isn't such a bad thing after all.
