Tim was a successful hairdresser and business owner in Bovey Tracey, Devon.
At about 8 am one morning in early March 2004, when he was just 42, he suffered a massive and catastrophic stroke that 'almost' took his life. 24 hours before that, he was cutting hair.
Now wheelchair bound, with very limited movement and muffled speech, he lives very happily with his cat, in Teighmouth, Devon.
This book, as well as being exceptionally detailed, fascinating, very personal, funny and heartfelt, provides us with an insight into Tim's life from the day of the stroke, to the present day and provides education and tips for the medical/health profession and stroke survivors that will make stroke life a little easier.
'It's not all doom 'n' gloom after a major stroke. For one thing, your boots never wear out!'
This is a very good read and an essential read for anyone who is in the healthcare industry or involved in 'stroke' in any way.
