French description: Les ecrits anti-sarrasins de Pierre le Venerable ont d'emblee ete voulus comme des ouvrages de controverse, ancres dans le sillage de la traduction latine qu'il commanda du Coran et de documents symptomatiques de la religion coranique, dont l'objectif affiche ne souffre aucune nuance: informer pour refuter, pourfendre, extirper le mal d'une confession heresio-diabolique.
