English summary: The statuary discovered at Amathus in Cyprus offers a unique key for understanding the religion of this region during the archaic and classical periods. Representing a masculine figure with dwarf proportions but also exterior signs of divinity, the statues also recall lion master attitudes associated with the Cypriote royalty. This groups of sculptures constitutes a link with other dwarf gods of the Greeks, Egyptians, and the Near East, often associated with mines and powerful goddesses.
