En este libro autobiográfico, Piedad Bonnett parte de sus vivencias para reflexionar sobre los factores que definen nuestra cotidianidad. Nos habla, con sensibilidad y lucidez, de aquello que determina la experiencia de las mujeres -la educación, el matrimonio, la maternidad, los tabúes asociados al cuerpo y la violencia de género- y también de la ansiedad, el miedo, la rebeldía, las ansias de libertad y las obsesiones que impulsan el proceso de la escritura.

She speaks sensibly and with clarity of what determines women's experiences--education, marriage, maternity, taboos associated with the body, and gender violence--but also of anxiety, fear, rebelliousness, the longing for freedom, and the obsessions that propel the process of writing.

With a forceful, poetic prose, permeated by humor and irony, the author addresses the different times she has witnessed, where we catch a glimpse of the many women she has been. Her path of acknowledgement is forever unfinished since, same as her, "we are all inapprehensible. We are rectifiable, as when we want words to answer for us. There is no tale capable of expressing who we are."
