Kaeso's love for Agatha leads him to convert to Christianity, which ultimately puts him at odds with the Roman authorities and leads to his downfall. The play explores themes of love, faith, and the clash between Christianity and the Roman Empire. It is written in blank verse and features a cast of historical figures, including Nero and the Roman poet Lucan.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
