In the seventh decade of the new millennium, things have turned full circle. Young people are required to be 'seen but not heard'; or if they are, they land up in my care.

That is not an option to which they look forward; for by 2060, discipline is again in full vogue and I am considered to be the best there is at enforcing it!

Lady Sarah Farquar, eldest offspring of the 20th Marquess of Bridgeport, is one such recalcitrant, as the girls and boys entrusted to my care are called.
