Johnny Dollar is the story of a self-made man who worked hard for everything he had. By the time he was in his mid fifties, John Goff had an eight figure net worth that he earned as an innovative insurance executive and real estate investor. In 2003, motivated by greed and jealousy, a group of politically connected men attacked John and his company in an attempted shakedown. That event, and John's attempt to fight back, landed him in opposition to forces within the state of Alabama, and the federal criminal justice system that were more powerful than he could imagine. Countermeasures by a corrupt political machine, coupled with ineffective and negligent representation by his lawyers, overwhelmed Goff and resulted in a criminal conviction on bogus charges.
