According to the National Human Trafficking Resource Center, 37,769 cases of human trafficking were reported in the United States during the time span of 2015 through 2019. Of those cases, 27,367 involved the sex trade. The number of U.S. citizens identified as victims totaled 8017. 10,079 known minors were trafficked throughout that time frame. Those numbers reflect only the cases reported to the NHTRC. Not all incidents get reported.
