This book is for any child that is on a therapy journey or about to embark on a therapy journey.
For the reader this book will enable them to feel a little bit more confident in the therapy process and journey. The book also should encourage the child to have open conversations with their carer in order to feel comfortable to talk about their therapy journey as there are open questions in the book for the child to ask themselves or their adult person.
The book is about Jake the Robot and in this book he is starting therapy, it explains what therapy is and what will happen on his first day of therapy, it talks about his worries and his questions about therapy and guides the reader through Jake's journey, in turn it will help give the child a sense of calm, can help ease any worries away and help them understand that they are not alone in the journey and that there is nothing wrong with going to therapy and hopefully they will feel that therapy isn't so bad or scary after all.
