This riveting inspirational story recounts how a young Jamaican woman survived a life of daunting obstacles and near-death experiences by unleashing her unwavering faith in God. Her faith gave her the power of self-will and determination to break the odds and transform her life-chances in amazing ways.
The author, Mary M. Case, has had a thirty-seven-year career in teaching writing and other subjects at the high school, middle school, and elementary school levels. She has taught in Jamaica and in the southern states of Florida and Georgia in the United States, as well as serving as a principal and a guidance counselor.
After growing up in Jamaica and contributing to the educational system there for twentyone years, she immigrated to the United States with her family in 2002 to continue her teaching career. Her current position is ESOL Teacher in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
Mary is a highly spiritual individual whose beliefs and faith in God have been shaped by the dramatic experiences throughout her life. She has also been impacted by attending denominational and non-denominational churches and serving in various roles, and also by her social interactions with students, teachers, and other acquaintances. Her love of writing has prompted her to share her experiences, hoping that it will be an inspiration to others.
Mary believes that by building up your faith in God, you too can overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges in life, elevate your sense of power and determination, and reap the benefits of a relaxed, contented life.
