The story gripped the public's fascination to the point of obsession, turning the excavation site into a circus, setting everyone's nerves on edge, and propelling petty arguments into door-slamming disputes. The year 2022 marks the 100-year anniversary of the discovery of King Tutankhamen's tomb in the Valley of the Kings.
