Millie, Cameron, Rhys, Hunter, Khloe, and the other kids were super excited because it was time for the annual Ice Fest Tournament! The kids from the small mid-west town of Dakota love playing sports, spending time together, and generally having fun, but hockey is their true passion. For this group of friends, Millie, Cameron, Rhys, Georgia, Hunter, Khloe, and the rest of the crew, hockey truly is life.

They live and breathe hockey, but as with most kids their age, life sometimes throws a spanner in the works, and it's not always smooth sailing. The girls play for the Dakota Hurricanes, and the boys play for the Dakota Lightning. Naturally, there's a very healthy and often heated rivalry between the two groups of kids.

In Hockey Wars 3: The Tournament, book three in the Hockey Wars Series, the girls and boys of the Dakota Hurricanes and Lightning were padding up to challenge some of the best hockey teams in the state. Along with exciting, fast-paced on-ice action, some off-ice friendships were developing between the girls and one of the other boy's teams in the tournament.
