Most people think of the 1950's as a time of family values and conformity. Newspaper reporter Roxie Mallone was a woman in the 1950's who refused to conform, and she lived her life on her own terms. Trying to keep her personal family values in tact and those of the citizens of the town she loved, she took on another type of family: the mob that ran her town.
