This volume II branches out to a more diverse group of ladies, but all still have the same love: animals and land. The stories are told in a conversational way, in their own words through interviews, but a couple gals wrote their own story. Especially poignant is the story of Amanda Marsh, the author's former horse hoof trimmer, and riend, who lost her wildland firefighter husband to a tragic event here in Prescott, Arizona.
