David Spurling grew up wanting to be someone who could inspire people. Writing for him started as an interest but later grew into an escape. Growing up, life was hard in a single-parent household with 3 older sisters. The thought that "Our upbringing defines who we are" was something that he saw as a challenge. The pain section in this book isn't just about his tragedies on life, but it's more-so a celebration of them. The cold reality of the world is detailed through the hope section and is posed as a question to us as individuals and it challenges us to be accountable for our decisions in life. Love fuels desire and desire becomes passion; it's the undertone in which he had in mind when he wrote the Love section of this book. Emotions are an experience that is unique to the individual, and he wants give you a little insight into his experience through his book From Me to You.
