Il y a une imprimerie typographique rue Audry de Puyravault, à Rochefort-sur-Mer, depuis au moins cent quatre-vingts ans. Nous l'avons reprise en 2008, et perpétuons cette technique d'impression, introduite en Occident par Gutenberg au XVe siècle et aujourd'hui presque disparue. Son rendu d'une qualité particulière tient à l'utilisation de caractères mobiles en plomb et de vignettes en cuivre, agencés à la main pour chaque travail, et imprimés en relief sur des presses maintenant d'un âge vénérable, mais toujours vaillantes.
