This is combination of a short and long essay that was written to fulfill the coursework requirements of an introductory course in the History of Western Architecture. It contains an overview of the English Romanesque Architectural style, how it was brought by the Normans from France and adopted in England. It also illustrates the Roman and Byzantium influences on this particular Western Architectural style and how that makes it different from the much later Neo-Classical and Modern Architectural style.
