Although the Amendment say precisely that "Congress shall make no law" in these fields the "ink-readicators" claim that it means something quite different. It may seem odd that affluence should undermine privacy. Consider the problem of launching and moving goods in today's superabundant economy. A growth in population and a growth in temptation in a nation increasingly swollen with material goods could help to account for much of the increase in crime. Our Urban living has played a part in making citizens more fearful of being beset by criminals.
